How to carry out surface treatment on optical lenses while improving the transmittance of lenses

How Optical Lenses Are Coated There are many ways to coat the lens surface, which makes your lenses look more attractive and at the same time increases the light transmittance of the lenses.

Abrasion coating treatment: This hard coating treatment method can make the optical lens more durable. The inner and outer surfaces of the lens must be hardened to be more resistant to abrasion. Anti-Reflection Coatings (aka Composite Coatings): This coating removes unwanted reflections from your lenses, giving you clear vision, and it also makes you appear more beautiful because others are directly seeing you eyes instead of that pesky reflected light.

Diamond Crystal: This is a new comprehensive treatment that provides a good coating combination, which has the effect of anti-wear, easy cleaning of the optical lens and reduction of reflected light.

Glass lenses: Optical lenses are very wear-resistant lenses, but glass lenses are heavy and easily broken, so they are not suitable for elementary school students and people who often spend time outdoors.

High-refractive-index lenses: Recommended for patients with deep luminosity, high-refractive-index optical lenses are lighter and thinner than standard lenses, but the weight of high-refractive-index glass sheets will not be greatly reduced, only a little lighter.

        Optical degree:

        1. Spherical:

When a ray of light passes through a lens with power, the ray is bent or refracted.

        (1) In a lens with a positive power, the rays of light are concentrated or refracted toward each other. The point where the rays of light converge is called the focal point and appears behind the         surface of the lens.

        (2) In a lens with a negative power, the rays of light diverge or refract each other towards the         distance. If these rays are extrapolated or traced back to the light source, they will converge in front of the lens surface and form a focal focusing mirror.

(3) The spherical power is related to the focal length or the distance between the lens and the focal point. More specifically, steradian is the reciprocal of the focal length in meters. Lens power is expressed as diopters (D).

        The formula is: degree=1/focal length

        2. Cylinder:

Optical power also includes astigmatism power, which is used to correct astigmatism. When light passes through a lens with astigmatism, it aggregates or disperses as it passes through a lens with a power. But the focus will be along a line instead of a point. Astigmatism is expressed in diopters (D) and is calculated in meters as the inverse aspheric specular distance between the lens and the focal line or meridian.
